Top 10 Montreal Bars With Cheap Beer
When he passes customs, the naive foreigner arriving in North America suddenly realizes his favorite alcohol is way too pricey. So he starts drinking beer, the unmissable drink for one and every proud north-American. That is also a way to experience the welcoming country's culture.
To make it easier for you and lighten your student budget, Interstude went through the menu of the most popular and cheaper places in Montreal. Fruit of our efforts: here's a list of the top 10 bars where the beer is very cheap. CHUG!
1. The Café Campus
Ok, this one may be out of competition as it's actually a club and not a bar -well known from all students. With your entrance, (6$ ou 3$ Tuesday and Thursday before 11 pm), you can get crazy prices on beer: every night, draft beer with illimited refill is at 8$, and on Tuesday jugs are 6$.

On Tuesday, the entrance is around 4$ and you can also get drunk for cheap there: beer jug is 5$. You should also get there to enjoy the raw decor and the vintage music!
87 Sainte-Catherine East Street
3. La Shop
Two floors to get you crazy on the dancefloor at low prices! All drinks are at 2$ (shots, beers...), except jugs which are 13$ - stays affordable. Good to know: La Shop opens only from Thursday night.

Saint Ciboire is a chill bar and terrace well known by UQAM students (and also tourists). You get why when seeing the prices: beer pint is at 6,25$ and the pitcher's 10.25$ from 4 to 8 (12.72$ is the regular price which is still cheap).

5. Mad Hatter
This mythical pub on Crescent is the GQ from Concordia and McGill students who enjoy the bar's unbeatables specials: 10$ beer jug on Mondays, 12.5$ the rest of the week and you can get a beer pint for 4.5$. 6. Le TRH BarIn love with beer and skate? TRH Bar is the bar of your dreams. Come have a good beer pint on the Main for 6$, and if you're with the gang, get a jug for 14$. And YES, there is a real skatebowl inside. 3699 St-Laurent Boulevard
7. La MaisonnéeIf you live in Côte-des-Neiges and want to go out in a neighbor cough, the Maisonnée is the bar you need. Pitcher at 14.75$ and beer at 5.50$: it's also the ideal place to save money while drinking at the same time - plus they host great entertaining karaokés nights! 8. Le M BarThe M Bar offers poor students a beer pint for 6$ and a pitcher at 15$. Close to Berri-UQAM station, where you can enjoy a nice lounge atmosphere without getting ruined. 1245 Saint-André Street
At the heart of the Latin Quarter, l'Escalier is perfect for the ones who hate clubs. This cool bar gives you honest prices on beer with pints at 3$ from 4 to 6. The perfect place to refresh yourself and chill out after a stressing work day!

Saint Sulpice offers a large range of beers starting at 5.25$. Well located on vibrant Saint-Denis Street, this bar has a great terrace where you can fully enjoy the beautiful summer nights. Going out with your friends? The pitcher's price is also attractive (15.75$).
